We are a small owner-operated camera shop that has been a fixture in the heart of downtown Princeton since 1978. We specialize in selling camera equipment at deeply discounted prices, and we also offer digitizing services such as slide and print scanning, as well as video and movie transfers to DVD.  We take passport photos for any country or purpose; we can meet the exact specifications for any ID photo type. We also sell a complete line of photo accessories, such as memory cards, batteries, chargers, tripods, camera bags, picture frames and photo albums, darkroom supplies, and a wide assortment of film.

Return Policy - New York Camera of Princeton

At New York Camera of Princeton, customer satisfaction is our top priority. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return most items within 14 days of the original purchase date for a refund or exchange, subject to the conditions below.

Eligibility for Returns:

  • Returns must be initiated within 14 calendar days from the date of purchase.

  • Items must be returned in new, unused condition, with all original packaging, manuals, accessories, and proof of purchase (receipt or invoice).

  • Any item returned in a damaged or used condition may be subject to a restocking fee or may be deemed ineligible for return.

Non-Returnable Items:

  • Special orders and custom items

  • Film (used or unopened)

  • Gift cards

  • Software (opened or registered)

  • Digital downloads

  • Clearance or final sale items

Restocking Fees:

  • A 15% restocking fee may apply to opened items, especially if packaging or accessories are missing or damaged.

Return Process:

  1. Visit our store in person with the item and receipt.

  2. One of our team members will inspect the item to ensure it meets our return policy.

  3. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 3–5 business days.

Exchanges:

Exchanges for the same item or store credit are available within the 14-day window and are subject to product availability.

Defective Items:

If you believe your item is defective, please contact us or visit the store within the 14-day return window. We will evaluate the item and assist with a replacement, exchange, or manufacturer warranty process as appropriate.
